WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
I collect matches because they’re small reminders of places I’ve been and oftentimes really great meals I’ve had. It’s special to have a reminder of a good night without having to pull out my phone and take a lot of pictures because I have a tangible memory of it.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
My favorite one is a random matchbook I got that says “Where in the hell did I get these?” Because it is such a cute and cheeky statement that makes me smile, and it reminds me of a really good night out with a close friend I don’t get to see very often. It’s just a little thing that reminds me to not take things too seriously.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I don’t light candles often in the summer but in the winter I am lighting them constantly to help with the seasonal darkness. I love candles with a bath or when I study, because correlating information with a certain smell helps me remember it better.
