WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?

I can’t remember why or when I started collecting matches, but it definitely had to do with taking a keepsake from an epic trip or dinner experience. Now I just grab them when I see them to build out my collection.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?

I love that so many people do wedding matches. The little icons and logos people choose are always very representative of the couple. Ours feature some pine trees as we got married in the Adirondack Mountains. While going through them recently, all the New York ones made me sentimental. I lived there for 7 years before my husband and I relocated to LA.

WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?

I don’t ever use them, I just collect them. If any guests are over and feel the need for a light, I keep a lighter beside the bowl hoping they use that instead.
