I love to collect matches to remember special meals I’ve had with loved ones all over the globe, cool events I’ve been to over the years, and to celebrate special moments like weddings of dear friends.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
My matchbook collection is sort of a journal or scrapbook of sorts. They each hold a special memory. I love a matchbook with a unique graphic or colored head. And I go crazy for the long stemmed versions. When I look at them years later I can often recall the exact day and even what I was wearing when I got them. I love the @officine_universelle_buly matches because they’re slightly scented and always leave a trail of delicious scent after burning out the candle which I love.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I love to light candles while cooking and also while making and sipping cocktails!! There’s something about the act of lighting candles that immediately puts me into a zen headspace no matter what anxieties the day might have brought.
