WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?

I've always preferred lighting my cigarettes or candles with a match. They make me think of the scene in North by Northwest where Cary Grant lights Eva Marie Saint's cigarette on the train. They're so much suaver than a lighter, and it helps that they often come with memorable designs…

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?

I love the @joesstonecrab matchbook. It reminds me of my time spent in Florida in the muggy heat surrounded by Palm Trees, and it also happens to be my mother’s favorite food in the world. I also love the @pierresbridgehampton ones. Most people think of Long Island in the Summer, but I get nostalgic for time spent there in the autumn when it's half empty, and you could use one of the matches for a cozy fire!

WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?

Matches from places I go to often I like to use! I have blind faith I'll go back and be able to get more. However, places I don't get to all that often are kept in a round box at the end of my bed next to my film canisters.
