I like matches because they commence a ritual that is so important to me, which is scent. When you light a candle with a match, the physical striking of the match sets a tone for the evening and incites a feeling.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
My favorite one is from Le Continental in Québec, Canada, which was my last vacation. It was such a remarkable trip for me that I wanted something as important to me, like scent, that when I found these matches at a restaurant, I knew they were going to be with me for a long time.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I like to light candles at night, when I feel my most vulnerable and in-tune with myself. Lighting a candle with a match at night is a release from the craziness that the daytime throws at you.
