WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
There's not really a specific reason as to why, I already collect coasters from bars & restaurants, and I think one day I was at an event and I saw a pair of matches and I realized those would also be super cool to collect since it's a little memory of a specific moment in time. Now, I just try and find matches wherever I go, whether they hand them out for free or not. It's become one of my favorite ways to also add some personality and decor to my apartment.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
I think my favorite ones are these small green ones I got from a @harrysbar_theoriginal x @rowingblazers event last year in Paris. Looking back on it, I think those were the first matches I got that made me realize I should start a collection, and I just love both of the brands on that matchbox. To be honest though, I don't think I've used a single match from that matchbox because I don't want it to be empty.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I always carry around a matchbox in my handbag since I actually prefer it to lighters, and I think usually will spark a conversation since when someone asks for a light, they're not expecting you to pull out a box of matches. Otherwise, I just love them scattered in this little silver bowl near my candles and lighters as a decor piece.
