WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
I’ve been collecting matches for years, I think they’re a fun thing to collect, especially when traveling. They’re all so different and unique in their own way. I have tons of matches and none of them are really alike. Also, it’s fun to use them when you’re home, there’s always a memory connected to them, even if it’s just a restaurant you went to once.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
My favorite ones are the following: my vintage @gucci matches because I just think it’s so cool Gucci had matches back in the 80’s! And they’re obviously really nice! Ones from Carbone in NYC because it was a great trip and my boyfriend and I had dinner there for his Birthday. @mrchow LA, I went there with my mom in LA, the food was amazing, I want to go back! Also the match box is really cute, I want to go back and get more. @cigarfactoryneworleans, those were from a really fun day in New Orleans and mine and my boyfriend’s trip together. @lecafedeflore and @lecastiglione, both cafes in Paris that my boyfriend and I loved going to and went multiple times.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I have our matches all over our house in different bowls or vintage ashtrays. I love candles so I’m always using our matches and it’s just nice to see them and use them and be reminded of fun trips and memories together.
