WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
Growing up, my parents and grandparents always had matches they'd collected from different restaurants and hotels. When I moved to New York after college, I began to notice just how many places had them so I began building my own collection! I love having little relics of memories, and I love when people come to my apartment and go through my collection because it just brings up all the memories from each one.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
I designed some (pictured in the jar) both when I moved to New York and for my 24th birthday. I like to think they inspired some of my friends to add them to/start their own collection :) I also have a few passed down from my parents and grandparents as well as from my cousin's wedding this summer that are really special to me.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I have a big candle collection and the Diptyque long stem matches are perfect for any candle! Otherwise, I mostly enjoy them as decor (upgraded to a second bowl this summer)!
