WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
I started collecting matches when I moved to NYC in 2011, I love how each bar and restaurant have their own matches there. I guess it’s a way of holding onto a moment and remembering a day/night well-spent.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
My top three favorites are this one with the handwriting inside. It was some @themermaidnyc matches from my friend Jack and the note wasn’t intended for me, but it made me feel special all the same. These @greenwichletterpress matches stating the obvious but also perfectly summarizing what love lacks in this day and age. I actually sent these to a former flame alongside love letters. These new, miniature book matches our team at the museum just got made. I happened to edit the three books that were made into matches! I love that their ends “match” the distinctive book covers.
