WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
My mother started collecting matches when she was my age as she lived in California in her 20s. I grew up looking at her vintage collection from all over the world and was always so fascinated by them. \r\nI started collecting them as well as a token to take home with me after having discovered something new.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
My favorite ones are the pink matches from @hotelsamourparis (I have a special attachment to that place because I used to go every time I went to Paris for work and the matches remind me of the unique interior design of the place), the matches from @cafemogadornyc (I went for the first time super randomly with two friends on a Saturday night during a hot summer in NYC and ended up having a great Lebanese feast), and lastly the matches from Raya - childhood memories on a magical island in Thailand!
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I rarely smoke, but when I do, I'd rather light a cigarette with matches than with a lighter. I personally really like the smell of the wood burning and find it more natural and organic. I'm actually not a great match user, I always waste at least 5 before I can light something up. So, let's say I enjoy having them and treasuring them for their culture, history, but most importantly for the great memories.
