WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
I love having them as a reminder of my travels and places I’ve been, and especially as a reminder of the memories made in those places!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
My favorite one right now is from @h_santamarta, where I got married on July 4th! I also love my matches from @il_cantinori_restaurant—the restaurant across the street from where I live and thus frequent a lot! My fiancé and I started going during the summer of 2020 as a way to support our neighborhood restaurant, and quickly became close with all of their team! We love them dearly, and adore the food! I hold so many special memories of fantastic dinners and martinis there with my fiancé, friends, and family. And I can’t forget to include my @santambroeus matches! My co-founder Gayle Yelon and I always joke that it’s our second office. It’s always fun to see these matchbooks on my coffee table, home bar, or in my purse as it brings back a rush of fond memories!
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I’ve actually been using matches a lot this summer so far! Lighters somehow always get lost, but matches are somehow easier to keep track of and hold on to. My family is big into cigars, so I would say that’s how they get used the most. Other than that, I use them at home on my collection of candles, which I love to light and bring fresh fragrances to my space.
