WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
It started when my now husband and I started dating—every time we would leave a restaurant he would grab a matchbook for me on the way out and hand it to me. It became a sweet ritual and now I always look for them!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
I made this shadow box piece with all the special places we went on dates in the first bit of our relationship. Each of the matches and pens were super special nights. @luckysmalibu is from the first night we spent with my parents. My favorite now is the pink matchbox from our wedding!
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I’m definitely more of a display girl! The rest of my matches live in the living room, and I love to light candles at the end of the night but usually I’ll use a lighter :) they’re my babies I want to save them!
