WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
I love collecting matches because I am pretty forgetful of places and somehow when I pick up a matchbook it always takes me to a place, person and chapter I would have otherwise maybe forgotten.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
My favorites are the ones that give me a physical reaction. Like the @sweetandviciousnyc matchbook makes me sick to my stomach thinking of all the frozen margaritas we drank after work and probably why I no longer drink tequila.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I have mine on display at home and always use them to light candles. Every time I use one it’s like opening a yearbook. I also love incorporating them into the design of my clients’ projects too! Finding places/matchbooks sentimental to them and adding a trinket dish full of matches to accessorize a coffee table…it’s a personal touch that always takes them back and I have fun scavenging for them!
