WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
I collect because I like collecting anything that seems like it could be forgotten if not for holding onto it. I also love the typefaces on the retro matchboxes. So beautiful!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
Fave matches I have are from my grandpa’s massive collection he brought over from Capetown, South Africa when immigrating in the 1970s - they are all so special I would never use them! I also love my company’s @chandeliercreative's matches for our amazing property @flamingo_estate because they have a fun, cheeky surprise inside the box that is only revealed when you finish all your matches! Won’t give it away…but it has to do with some naughty slides found on the property back in the day.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I’ve been using them most recently at night, when I’m reading a book, but also for dinners with friends!
