WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
I collect matches because I love that some hotels, restaurants, bars etc. appreciate this old school tradition and want to keep it alive. All of the matches I have are significant in some way and are attached to a memory from a past trip or great night out.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
I have a set from @hotelcostes in Paris, my mom and I got lunch there to celebrate my birthday a few years ago. It was a great day. I also love any set I’ve picked up in New Orleans because it means I was with my best friends from college when I grabbed them. We went to LSU but New Orleans has become our meet up spot.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
I rarely use matches from my collection but when I do it’s to light a candle when a lighter isn’t handy.
