WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
I collect because for me they're a way to hold onto different experiences that I have from my travels, whether it is from a specific hotel or dining experience. I think each place designs their matches so uniquely which is why I enjoy keeping them!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
My favorite is definitely the one from @alpenrosephl in Philadelphia. They were handed to me by someone because they knew I enjoyed keeping matches which made me smile — it was just a very memorable night. Second are the "We're a perfect match" from @jackswifefreda in NYC. Everything from the matches to their sugar packets have really kitschy sayings on it.
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
It’s funny because I actually don't like using the matches I only have one set of. I do my best to usually steal a couple at a time (guilty!), but since I mostly collect on my travels, I like to save them for as long as I possibly can. I enjoy them most through looking at them through the translucent box I keep them in, I even have some of them framed.
