WHY DO YOU LIKE AND COLLECT MATCHES?
I started collecting matches randomly, I just had a lot laying around and saw an Instagram of someone’s match collection, which sparked my memory that my great aunt always had a match collection in her home when I’d visit as a child. So, I decided to do it for the decorative aspect along with nostalgia!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ONES AND WHY?
I can never choose just one so here’s 3… of course, my own matches that I got done via @foryourparty that act as my business card. I’ve been going to events for my blog close to 10 years now, and while I always had nice business cards, I had a lightbulb moment one day and decided to make the matches. I liked the idea because everyone just throws business cards away, but who’s going to throw away something that’s actually useful? Next up is this matchbook from@altarestaurant, and while I’ve never been, they were given to me by one of my best friends. I’ve been given matches from both her and my sister, and those are always some of my favorites because of the fact that they thought of me in that moment. It’s such a nice gesture! Lastly, the Marlboro ones are the only ones I’ve gone out of my way to go out and buy (via eBay). I just thought they were too cool and a must have because the box opens like a cigarette box!
WHEN AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY YOUR MATCHES?
Since I started collecting them, I kinda stopped using them! But, I’m a candle fanatic and matches are my go to.
